Chicken Masala Stew
A tomato-onion chicken stew with King's Chicken Masala in the base and a small garam masala finish.

Ingredients
- 700 g chicken pieces
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 1/2 teaspoons King's Chicken Masala
- 1/2 teaspoon King's Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon King's Garam Masala
- 1/2 cup water or light stock
- Salt and coriander to taste
Steps
- 1
Season the chicken with salt. Brown lightly in oil, then set aside.
- 2
Cook onions in the same pot until soft and sweet. Add garlic, ginger, King's Chicken Masala, and King's Turmeric Powder.
- 3
Stir for about a minute, then add tomatoes and cook until they break down into a thick sauce.
- 4
Return the chicken to the pot with water or stock. Cover and simmer until tender, turning the pieces once or twice.
- 5
Uncover and reduce the sauce if it is too thin. Finish with King's Garam Masala and coriander just before serving.
